Breakwater Hospitality proudly announces the opening of The Wharf Fort Lauderdale the weekend of November 8th, 9th, and 10th. After a fast-paced build out this summer, they will open their sister concept to The Wharf Miami at 20 West Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, bringing yet another highly-anticipated food and beverage concept to Fort Lauderdale’s thriving downtown scene.

The Wharf Fort Lauderdale is a partnership amongst Founders of Breakwater Hospitality, Emi Guerra and Alex Mantecon; CEO of Merrimac Ventures, Dev Motwani; and CEO of Barreto Group, Rodney Barreto. The property will occupy 1.25 acres on Fort Lauderdale’s New River.

“It’s exciting to bring one of my favorite Miami hangouts to Fort Lauderdale,” says Dev Motwani. “By combining some of our best local food scene operators with some great concepts from Miami, we really get the best of both worlds.”

While The Wharf will focus on an exciting cocktail and ongoing event program, ownership has partnered with iconic Broward and Miami-based chefs and restaurateurs to build out their culinary offerings. “We’re thrilled to see even more prominent operators come to Fort Lauderdale to reactivate the Riverfront area. The Wharf is going to be an amazing addition to our community and we are honored to have the opportunity to be a part of it,” said Elliot Wolf, Owner, be nice Restaurants.

Permanent, Food Court-style culinary pop-ups will include:

Seafood by Chef-Restaurateur Dean James Max’s Even Keel

Classic American Fare by be nice Restaurants’ Lunchroom

Hou Mei, Asian Cuisine by Temple Street Eatery’s Chef-Owners Alex Kuk and Diego Ng

Pizza by Chef Jose Mendin’s The Piefather

Sweets by Mojo Donuts

Breakwater Founder, Emi Guerra comments, “We’re excited to partner with local concepts that have helped shape the Fort Lauderdale food scene, as well as some newcomers to Broward that we’ve brought along with us from Miami. With each food concept, we want to bring something unique and different to downtown, as well as, give local residents and visitors several delicious options for lunch, happy hour, evening, and especially late night dining.”

The Wharf Fort Lauderdale will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12pm until late night. For more information on The Wharf Fort Lauderdale and to RSVP to the opening festivities, please visit www.wharfftl.com.
